FOR CURSOR

A Cursor agent monitor in your Mac's notch

Running Cursor's agents alongside a few terminal sessions? NapCat gathers them into a Dynamic Island-style panel in your notch, so you can see what is working and what is waiting without leaving what you're doing.

Cursor sessions in the island

NapCat reads your Mac’s running processes locally and read-only, and lists each recognized session, Cursor among 27+ agents, as a live row: its status, and whether it has stopped and needs you. Nothing to configure.

One click to the tab

Click a row to jump to its exact terminal tab in Terminal, iTerm2 or Warp, instead of digging through windows for the one that finished.

Walk away without stopping the work

Hit ⌥⌘N and your Mac looks asleep while everything keeps running. Keep-awake holds off sleep, display sleep and the lock timer, so a long agent run survives the coffee break. See keep your Mac awake while agents run.

Honest about the Claude-only bits

Approving permission prompts from the notch and the usage meter are Claude Code features today. For Cursor, NapCat gives you the live session monitoring, jump-to-tab, notifications, and the nap overlay.

Questions

Does NapCat need a plugin or Cursor extension?

No. NapCat recognizes Cursor's agent sessions from your Mac's process list, read-only. There is nothing to install into Cursor and nothing to configure.

Can I approve Cursor prompts from the notch?

Not today. The Allow/Deny approval hook and the usage meter are Claude Code specific. Cursor gets live session monitoring, jump-to-tab, notifications and the nap screen.

Is any of my code sent anywhere?

Your Cursor work content stays on your Mac. Optional product analytics, when you enable it, is limited to fixed event metadata and never includes prompts, responses, project names, paths, or session IDs.

What are the requirements?

macOS 13 or newer on an Apple Silicon Mac. NapCat is $7.99 once with a free 2-day trial, keeps session content local, and draws a mock notch on Macs that don't have one.
