When Claude Code asks to run a command or touch a file, the prompt appears in the notch with Allow and Deny buttons. Structured MCP questions appear as one-tap choices or a native form for typed, numeric, and secret fields. Exact lifecycle events also separate Working, Done, failed, and Needs you without guessing from CPU usage. The Control Bridge is opt-in and removes every NapCat hook when switched off. Track your Claude usage

NapCat borrows Claude Code’s own login (with a Keychain prompt the first time) and fills your 5-hour and 7-day usage windows right in the notch, so you know how much you have left before you start a big run. One toggle turns it off. Your credential and usage response go only to Anthropic and are never included in product analytics.

Jump to the exact tab, keep the Mac awake

Questions

Does NapCat work on Macs without a notch?

Yes. NapCat can draw a mock notch and the island works exactly the same. It needs macOS 13 or newer on Apple Silicon.

Is my code sent anywhere?

No. NapCat only reads your process list locally. The sole network call is the optional Claude usage meter, made on your own Claude Code login, and one toggle turns it off.

Do I have to configure Claude Code to see sessions?

Basic session monitoring, jump-to-tab and the nap screen need no setup. The optional Claude Control Bridge adds permission decisions, MCP input forms and exact lifecycle states through local hooks that NapCat removes when switched off.

How much does NapCat cost?
